Jump Into Your Power
Hi, I’m Chrissie.

I’m an empowerment speaker and author of No Jump in My Trunk.

My work is rooted in the belief that growth, healing and leadership begin with recognizing your unique blend of temperament and T.A.G.S.- your Talents, Abilities, Gifts, and Skills.  I’m here to help you unpack what’s already in your “trunk,” and discover that you have everything you need to navigate life with purpose, confidence, and fulfillment.

• Have you at any point grown frustrated when your abilities were overlooked?
• Become self-conscious because your personality didn’t connect easily with others?

• Found yourself irritated during a group assignment?
• Recognized a sense of envy when others obtain success more easily and with less effort?

Self-awareness unlocks how we think, act and connect with purpose.  When we embrace the Power of 6 – our personality, talents, abilities, gifts, skills, and learned lessons – we show up with confidence, communicate with intention, and lead in ways that make a meaningful impact wherever we are.

I strive to show people the interplay between self-perception and contribution.

I’ve long been interested in the process of self-awareness.  How individuals identify their innate talents and abilities early in life, how external pressures or internal doubts obscure those gifts, how intentional reflection restores clarity, and how sustained awareness fosters personal and collective growth.

I’m passionate about how the way we see and understand ourselves affects how we show up, participate, and contribute.  My ongoing study explores how developing self-awareness enhances confidence, resilience, and purposeful action, ultimately empowering people to use their abilities in meaningful and impactful ways.

I really care about those moments when a person realizes they have something valuable to offer — a gift, a skill, a way of seeing the world — and how, with time and self-awareness, they grow bold enough to share it. ……. Consistently remembering and applying that insight in different situations.

Joy Came Easy

As the middle of three sisters, I played in my power. Boldly teaming up with one or the other, I embraced every opportunity life placed in front of us. We took dance lessons, played instruments, sang in the church choir, rode bikes, played games, explored the woods and learned cheers from our big cousins.

Back then, I didn’t worry about being the best — I simply loved discovering what I could do, surrounded by my sisters, supported by my mother and grandmother, and wrapped in a community of family and love. Joy came easily because I embraced every part of myself with curiosity and confidence, holding nothing back.

Playing It Safe

But as I grew older, that fearless exploration narrowed.  By middle and high school, things began to shift. I started noticing which of my talents drew the most praise and attention. I stood back, watching others excel in areas of interest — areas where I lacked the same natural ability. Slowly, I began focusing only on the gifts that came easily and earned quick recognition.

Without realizing it, I stepped away from the activities that required more practice or vulnerability. Leaning into the gifts that were applauded — participating only in ways that felt safe, the abilities I once enjoyed faded from my grasp.   Along with them went a positive sense of self.

Then Everything Changed.

After a few transformative years — shaped by valuable life lessons and deliberate self-reflection during an outdoor adventure experience that pushed me beyond my comfort zone — I rediscovered what I had forgotten: true fulfillment doesn’t come from perfection. It comes from embracing all of who you are. I awakened to a powerful truth — I didn’t have to shrink, specialize, or compete. I simply had to Just Use My Power.

Today, I define power as a combination of your personality, your Talents, Abilities, Gifts, and Skills (T.A.G.S.), and the valuable lessons you’ve learned along the way. My mission is to help others — especially women and anyone who has ever felt overlooked or boxed in — reconnect with their full selves. Through my book, workshops, and speaking engagements, I invite you to reclaim your joy and move forward boldly.

You don’t have to be the best.

But you do have to take courage — and JUMP!

Defining Power

That experience didn’t just bring me back to myself—it gave me a new definition of power.

Power is not perfection. It’s presence.

Your personality

  • Your T.A.G.S. (Talents, Abilities, Gifts, and Skills)
  • The life lessons you’ve learned along the way

When we recognize this power within us—when we see it, honor it, and use it—we become unstoppable. We stop waiting for permission. We stop hiding. We show up fully, not just for ourselves, but for our communities, our calling, and our future.

That’s what I call COURAGEMENT™—the act of courageously engaging with life, people, and opportunity.

Today, I speak, write, and lead workshops because I want everyone to know what I know now:
• You don’t need to be the best.
• You don’t need to have it all together.
• You don’t need to wait.

You already have what you need—it's time to Just Use Your Power.
